SEASONING FOR VEGAN PIZZA
Pizza seasonings add bold flavour and aroma to every slice. Classic herbs like oregano, basil, thyme, and rosemary create a rich Italian taste, while garlic powder and onion flakes enhance the savoury flavour. Crushed red pepper adds heat, and black pepper gives a mild spice. Fresh herbs sprinkled after cooking bring brightness and freshness to the pizza. In addition to this, seasonings can be mixed into the sauce, dough, or toppings for deeper flavour. Here you can find a list of herbs which can be fresh or dried, and I have also listed other aromatic spices.
- Oregano.
- Fresh Basil.
- Thyme.
- Garlic powder or granules.
- Onion powder or flakes.
- Chilli powder and chilli flakes.
- Paprika and smoked paprika.
- Ground black pepper.
- Cayenne pepper.
- Rosemary.
- Pepper flakes.
INGREDIENTS FOR VEGAN PIZZA
- Flour: I used regular all-purpose flour, but you can try other types of flour; such as self-raising flour, if you don’t want to use yeast.
- Salt: I normally use Himalayan salt. Other salt options are: kosher salt, table salt, sea salt, and Celtic salt.
- Water: I used filtered water when making my recipes, but you can also use mineral water ot tap water. The water temperature has to be warm.
- Oil: Olive oil pairs really well with pizza dough. If you want to use other options, you can also try avocado oil or a vegetable oil.
- Yeast: This is a key ingredient for a fluffly dough, and I used dried yeast.
- Sugar: This ingredient works well with the yeast. I used white sugar, but you can also use coconut sugar or demerara sugar.
