SMOKED MACARONI AND CHEESE

Smoked macaroni cheese recipe
Have you ever had smoked vegan mac and cheese? Try this delicious dairy-free mac and cheese, easy to make, and the best homemade mac and cheese we've had so far!
Ingredients
Pasta
- 200 gr. of Macaroni.
- 1 Litre of Water.
- 1 Pinch of Himalayan salt.
Sauce
- 1 Tbsp. of Frozen garlic.
- 3 Tbsp. of Olive oil.
- 3 Tbsp. of Flour.
- 400 ml. of Plant-based milk.
- 80 gr. of Grated vegan cheese of your choice (smoked).
- ½ Tsp. of Tumeric.
- ½ Tsp. of Smoked paprika.
- 1 Pinch of Himalayan salt.
Instructions
Pasta
- Put to boil 1 liter of water in a cooking pot and add Himalayan salt.
- When the water is boiling add the pasta and stir well. Stir from time to time (follow the instructions on the package).
Sauce
- Pour 3 tbsp of olive oil and add the garlic. Cook for around 2 minutes.
- Add 3 tbsp of flour, mix well and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Pour the milk little by little and stir all the time. Cook until it begins to have a thicker consistency.
- Add the cheese, turmeric, smoked paprika, and Himalayan salt. Mix well.
- Once the sauce and pasta are cooked to your taste drain the pasta and pour it into the sauce. Mix well and cook for a couple of minutes.
Notes
If you don't have smoked cheese you can use 1/2 tsp of liquid smoke.
